I know this is mostly an american site read mostly by american people, still I believe it should be allowed for routes to be listed according to the grading system of area they belong.
Its seems funny to see Ceusse or Kalymnos routes on the 5. scale.
More importantly, sometimes grade conversion is just not sufficient...

Just a thought.

well, you can set the RDB to display french grades for you, but then all the routes will have french grades. i agree though. being able to set a grade scale for an individual crag would be nice.

That's why I encourage the people to add the original rating in brackets behind the route name. Especially the Saxon ratings are far from comparable to any other system (has to do with protection and exposure mostly, but also with totally underrated slabs and slopers). In Germany we have three different rating systems (UIAA, French and Saxon), so people really get confused all the time...

Good idea. This could be done like those websites that you can buy items with different currencies. You select your scale, and all routes will be display that way. However, it could be an annoying thing to implement considering there are probably more pressing things.

THAT is already implemented...

what were discussing here is an option that would allow the area manager (or whoever) to overwrite those settings and display the 'correct' grades for an area.
