I'll be at the Red in a couple of weeks (1st week of July) and I can't find a guide book! Does anyone know where I can get one.

I see that you are in St. Louis. Have you checked out upper limits? We had three or four at the beginning of the season.

If not Miguels used to have a stack of them.

Don't listen to midwestishell, he's bitter, biased and old.

If they're not stocked at UL, then go to redriverclimbing.com and download some topos - it's very well detailed and the comments are sometimes helpful. Even if you get the book, you may want to check out the site as there are new routes going up constantly. The book will be missing a lot of the new routes put up since publication.

Just stop in Miguel's and buy one. I think he sells the popular one for ~$35? Not sure what it goes for online but you could always support his awesome venue instead of some CEOs pocket.

If you go to redriverclimbing.com (as someone previously mentioned) you could order the book directly from the publisher...if they had any left in stock. However, a 2nd edition of the book is due out this September-ish so you might as well save your money till then and use the online guidebook instead:

The last ones in the Gorge were bought up during Memorial Day weekend. I was down there with a buddy at that time and Miguel's was out, the shop at Torrent was sold out and all the gas stations as well...no more until the new edition gets put out. You can probably still pick one up though at REI or a similar type store in the midwest...good luck!
