The Pixies - Where is My Mind? Rolling Stones - Paint it Black I remember hearing a cover of Paint it Black in 2:4 once. Or 1:4. In any case, it was an outstanding cover but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Next up: Tears for Fears - Mad World

Maybe that's the one I'm looking for. The melody (?) was cut in half and effectively doubled the length of the song, but doing so made it so much more memorable and comparable, if not better than, the original.

Edit: If you're going to blast music, play some Ministry or some Slayer. Hippies hate Slayer. Or was it Pantera? I totally forgot because I got pulled over and the officer made me smoke the whole bag.

Back up in this forum with the resurrection! I'm listening to some Widespread Panic right now. I don't know which album it is and I'm not a huge fan of Widespread but it's not too bad. I know there are a few good songs on whichever album this is.

o no, a music thread. so heres my twisted mix, im listening to: the vankers; blackout (local band) Dropkick murphys;blackout (i though it matches to listen to two blackout albums) Björk; vespertine Guru Guru; elektrolurch (strange german sixties krautrock) ... and you will know us by the trail of dead; so divided (totally genius) two gallants; what the toll tells (sad songs, but so good) slayer; reign in blood (a classic) sigur ros; takk (crying icelanders, but beatifull) nice combination. qwert

A recording of a flamenco tune that I made at home yesterday afternoon. 4 guitar tracks, laboriously learned by ear from an mp3, digitized from a substantially damaged videotape. My middle daughter is going to choregraph a dance to it.

Hmmmph...probably the same tunes I was listening to when I last posted to this thread. It depends on whose iTunes library is up on my network but usually there's a bit of Steve Carlton, Love Arcade, The Academy Is (amazing live band - haven't seen Steve or LA in person yet but TAI is a rockin' good time), Sarah Brightman, Celtic type stuff, Flogging Molly and Enya. I also throw in some country faves like Johnny Cash, Kenny Chesney, Garth Brooks, Leann Rimes along with a healthy dose of Prince just to round out the sound. :)
