So, after all of the build up and waiting, I finally got out some ice. And just like everyone said it was, it was absolutely amazing. Today was just shy of thirty degrees and cloudy...perfect. The ice on the upper tier was well filled in, and there wasn't another soul around. Ray went up first, got about halfway up before he sent down some giant chunks of ice. Got why we were wearing helmets and the belay station was back behind some rocks! Finally, I got my go: The ice arm worked out great! WOOT!

The lattes are good too! Bert is a local guide, he is also an avid ice climber. If you stop in the Cafe again ask for Bert and I'm sure he'd love to talk to you about climbing in the notch.

With Mo having a cooler axe than the rest of us... Does this mean I have to relinquish the Axe Murderer title to Mo?

So does thing stay on well enough that you can comfortably hang off it while placing a screw? Your other hand looks cold. I've probably got a single glove sitting around. Maybe it's a right. Does your stump get the barfies? Do you get handicap parking? I see a hammer on the back of that thing, does that mean you have the ability to rotate it and pound or is it just for show? It's pretty cool biner. Shit talking aside, you're doing something that many of can't even imagine.
