As we've discussed before, the diameter/length of the bolt (and style) will depend on the rock.

1/2" 5 pc rawls use a 3/8" bolt, so yes they will work with a 3/8" hanger.
1/2" glue ins or wedge anchors require a 1/2" hanger.
And yes, that's a good deel, rap rings cost just as much sans hanger.
The downside of that style of rap setup is the bolts spaced apart increase the load on the anchor vs say placing one of those rings, and then a second bolt about a foot higher with a chain that ends where the ring is.

Another thing someone mentioned was the use of a torque wrench. I personally use one most of the time, and think it is a great idea. If you have a rock/bolt combination that you aren't 100% sure about, a torque wrench will at least give you an idea of whether or not the bolt will hold what the manufacturer claims it will. If you can't torque the bolt to the recommended torque, then you have a serious problem and should consider different hardware, rock, etc....
PS, it is a lot better than, "finger tight plus a turn, she'll be right...."

Fixe's website is fucked up, these are actually plated steel, after putting them in the cart the name changes to "Plated Steel Ring Anchors (Qty: 10)"
fuckers.
