On seclimbers.org, the Currahee area report mentions a proposed gate that would prevent you from being able to drive to the top of Currahee. Is there such a gate? Or can you drive to the top? How long is the hike from the closest accessible parking area?

You can drive all the way to the top and park by the towers. There is a gate twards the begining of the road. It closes at 10:00 I think. The road is a little under three miles to the top.
