Saw these a few days ago perusing youtube and was disconcerted. If these folks are associated with Climb On Adventures, who's website can be found here: http://climbonadventures.com/default.aspx That's scary. They purport themselves as a guide service with some kind of Christian underpinning going on, but if those videos are any indication, they shouldn't be guiding anyone anywhere. There's disinformation of the major type in those vids, flaws in basic understanding...God only knows how bad it gets in the more complex items (pun intended). Best video is the one during which he has significant trouble finding a suitable nut placement: http://youtube.com/watch?v=O9fbbMscTJ4 Notice how the first "placement" he finds pops out easily with a stiff tug... Edit: Yeah, they're the same Climb On Adventures - if you check the photo gallery on the website, that same bozo from the videos is wandering around in pictures. I guess he's one of their "guides".

Looks like he recorded it for this site and the people who run it posted the vid on youtube: http://www.expertvillage.com/. Obviously, they don't employ a whole lot of quality control. Maybe they should stick to activities that are less potentially lethal.

What kind of moron produces a video telling people to set up their anchors using an American death triangle? The same kind of guy who claims to be an expert, but doesn't know how to spell "chock".

The "Journey to Manhood" is going to have to wait until just after the "Journey to the Hospital"...

I think you are just jealous about that guy showing off his anchor building skill. If you really think his rig could kill someone then you should post your own clip in YT so we could see the difference.

Animated red and green arrows, army men climbing floating asteroids, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Sounds like these guys are doing more Prayin' than Belayin' I guess they are expecting God to save them from a bad anchor??? (slaps knee)...

if it is the guide service I'm thinking of, I've run into these guys at Enchanted Rock in TX. They yell "God is great" and "All the Time!" instead of "on belay" and "climbing." gargh.

No f-ing way. That would get annoying real quick. And I thought guide groups couldn't get any more obnoxious. I think it's time for you to take a ghetto blaster out to the crags and introduce them to death metal.
