Little Colin, born 5:30am today, the 12th of May - or the 8th day of siyue (4th month) in the Chinese Lunar Calendar, which just happens to be Buddha's birthday. Mother and baby are resting comfortably. Daddy is just about to go and do the same.

Congratulations. Rest comfortably now, then say goodbye to sleep for a while. And help her out at night when the baby wakes up to eat (e.g. get the kid, change his diaper, bring him to his mother, etc.). It'll pay dividends later for you.

Congrats to the mom and to you. But may I say that a pic of a baby should be accompanied by the mother's breast?

I am! I have to admit that the last time I received a pic of a baby, I didn't see the newborn, my eyes just focused on the mom's breast!

Thanks for the well-wishes, guys! At the moment, everything keeps reminding me of the Far Side cartoon of Custer's first stand... there's been a lot of "firsts" in the past couple of days. First breath, first yawn, first sneeze, first crimp grip (surprisingly powerful!), first bath, ... sigh. What can I say? I'm in love.
