Not that I disagree with your complaint, because I don't, but I've never seen a banner ad on this site. Maybe I'm just not looking, but where do they appear?

A couple things to consider. #1, I love a good hummer. What the hell is wrong with you if you have a problem with a good hummer? #2, Ad block plus for firefox. You will never see an ad again. I was more tired of looking at that drug cheat hawking energy drinks than the car ads, it's bliss with no ads. #3, I want a hummer. It's been too long.

Wow. I had never used adblock before. The page seems almost empty! And it loads fast! This is amazing, now I can stare at the forums even easier!

RC.com has no say as to what ads go on their site. an ad buying and placement company do all that work, and this site is just one of several hundred thousand websites on a massive list. Hummer makes and ad, buys time and space, then gets distributed according to a complex algorithm to thousands of sites at once. secondly, hummer would love to advertise on this site. They're currently going for the whole "outdoors, backpack, good for the environment, best-gas-mileage-ever" scheme. you may hate it, but they love it, and their the ones buying up the space.

i had assumed that the ads were approved by the 'management'... i remember a time when ethics prevailed over the almighty dollar. those were good times. meagre, but good.

If it makes you feel any better, Hummer is so hard up to make a sale with the current gas market, that the are advertising leases starting at $90!! I'm a get two

Have you opened up a copy of OUTSIDE MAGAZINE lately? Two page spread in every single issue. Wrote a letter to the editor on that one. No response yet. Don't expect one either. Then again, McCain gets in office and we'll start drilling offshore, which means, you know, at least two more whole days of gas for me to drive one of those moronic devices of small hung men everywhere.

A few years ago Outside wrote an article promoting drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. We sent them a letter asking them to stop sending us their magazine and to cancel our subscription. They kept sending it and never responded. I'll never open one of their magazines again, either.
