You know when you finally get around to doing something that you've always said that you would do? Well this is one of those things for me: I think it's pretty darn cool, if I do say so myself! What do you all think?

A fine looking piece of work. I especially like the closure system.

What's the line rated to? Can we send this to adatesman to get it pull-tested? I doubt it could go beyond even 4 kN!

Definitely cool. Very nice job!!! One question: Why a new nut and not an oldie? Also, I think you need some CYA language on the piece to keep you arms length from the ambulance chasers!!! What if someone really tries to use it...

In 1978 I took my first 50-footer onto an old #5 Stopper. I think they've re-numbered them since but it was the pinky-sized one. I took that sucker, cut the cord out of it and turned it into a bolo tie. It's way cool. Mal ps - I'm glad you weren't referring to the genitalia and earlobe-decorated neck wear worn by the Apache indians back in the days of scalps and massacres.

I think it's an awesome piece of jewelry. I do not think it's $65.00 awesome.

This would actually be the third thing I'd think of as a "Nut Necklace." Chockstone or stopper would have been a more propitious choice of words, methinks.

Next, look for my TeaBag line of jewelry! Did you just say "butt sex sells"...? My God, this thread is just sickening. It's a cool jewelry idea. It seems like an easy thing to make yourself for your climbing chica or chico. Continuing the degenerate theme in this thread, has anybody thought of putting the #6 and #9 together yet?

drfelatio wrote: I do not think it's $65.00 awesome. Yeah, pricing jewelry is always kind of hard to figure out. I charged one of my best friends $65 for hers and we agreed that it was an appropriate price. Stuff that I took into consideration: Cost of supplies: $16ish Hours put into restringing to make it a sturdy piece of necklace that won't fall apart: 6+ hours Believe it or not there is about 3 arms length worth of thread in this necklace and it's a pain to restring those tiny little beads and have to rethread the needle every two seconds! But I enjoy doing it, because I'm a sadist! But yeah, pretty much the $65 minus the cost of supplies puts my labor hours at about $8/hour.

For a male version, I'd think a non-anodized stopper strung on accessory cord would be a more popular option. If you're going that route, it's easy enough to do yourself.
