Ouray ice park is partially closed due to... basically no winter.
50 degree highs for weeks, so thus the partially closing.

Because it's Colorado man, it's Colorado...

When I lived out there I was climbing at Shelf Road in shorts and a t-shirt on new years day, 65-70F in the sun. I was climbing at eldo a few days later, also in shorts and a tshirt at 65F. I then went and bagged some 13ers and 14ers in some serious winter conditions a week later. You got your choice of summer or winter, mostly all year long, depending where you want to go.

Shit. There was a fair amount of ice though. Luckily I just left, so it doesn't effect me too badly, but do you know what areas are shut?

It use to be cold when it was clear out, now its warm and clear.

Anyway, this is my 40 something winter in CO and it is the worst
ever. You see I like cold and snow.

Half the park is closed, that which is in the sun more than other areas.

Why no, I didn't have a proper one unfortunitely.
The sunday night the Nugget was closed, and we were going to have it on the monday. On monday I was dragging my sorry ass back from Stairway to Heaven for many an hour and didn't get back to Ouray till 9:30 ish. At which point I promptly made a whole cake, ate 2/3s of it, and fell asleep for 13 hours.

We went to the Nugget to meet you and it was closed. So we went to the Mexican Place and had Margs for Master Burns...no Haggis :-(

Yeah, there was a miscommunication with the owners of the nugget.
They thought I meant monday, but I meant sunday.
I felt REALLY stupid (even more then usual) since I told a fair amount of people about it. I was psyched. I even rehearsed "ode to the haggis".
