Hey there. I am quitting my job and starting a road trip in July probably going through the end of 2010! Crazy! Now I just have to find the guts to hand in my two weeks and find some rad climbing partners to crag around with. Most of my crew is the long weekend type so it'd be great to find some people to plan month long excursions with. I would be open to traveling anywhere as long as the people are safe and they are all about the fun! Having a room to rent for the longer stints would be sublime, too! I'm 26, bouldering and sport climbing fool, maxin' out around 11c/d, but pushing hard to those 12's, man!

Let me know if you are interested or could even point me in a good direction to find some pals to crag around with for a while. I have a general idea of some places, but I am willing to flex.

Cheers!
Allison

In what part of the west coast are you looking for a room? Where are you planning on spending most of your climbing time?

Higher Climber: I am kind of open. I have a basic month by month planish or sorts, but where ever I meet people or a room's available, I have no qualms about changing things up. Aug 09-March or so, I'm open, so I'll take suggestions or offers! :)

wow, jcrew - you've got some high standards - a good belay, someone to hang draws, or has their own gear, or is knowledgeable about safety... all overrated climbing qualities. I know this. this is why babe is in my name. or--- maybe it is an old aim name from junior high i just can't let die. You can be the one to judge.

well, a nice rack (no pun intended) and a solid belay help...

and i do have standards...hottie isn't gonna cut it, i'm talking goddess. and the term goddess implies other skills besides looking pretty. it's assumed you know what you're doing on the rope.

nice to knew jcrew - i wouldn't want to make the mistake underestimating you. btw - i know a few climbing goddesses - i even have one as close as the room next to mine (the roommate), but they are not easy to come by, so good luck in your search!

can't freakin' wait to climb west - i have been wanting to do this for SO long!

Depending on my job (contract finishes in June but could be extended ; if not, could take 3 months off), I would be interested by the western part (including Moab and Devil's tower).
Do not have your level leading though (see my profile).

i'd be open to Moab - i would love to go climb there!! but I would think summer months would be quite hot, though, right?

live in the Nor Cal area-but have a seriously flexible job. A So if you are looking to grab a partner for a week or so I would be interested-especially in fall-I have yet to go to Colorado for climbing...one of the many places I would happily get dragged too. Bouldering (v3/v4), sport climbing. I am a newbie to leading-but should be pretty solid in a few months (5.10a/5.10b).

If you want to head up the the Pacific North west and into Canada (Squqamish is where I spend most of my time) I'll climb with you! I have 2-3 weeks off in September.

I'm in Vegas, I am pretty flexible for climbing. I'm verging in 11's right now, so I'm a little behind you. I don't know if you've ever been out this way, but Red Rock is super pristine sandstone climbing. There's also some good limestone in the area too. Let me know if you're heading this way.

I live in Visalia, my roommate and I both climb, but more importantly we have a comfortable couch. If you're climbing Sequoia/Kings and need a place to crash, a partner, or a cup of coffee (or beer, beer is good too) drop me a pm.

That's awesome snaps - I just decided that i will be traveling south down the west coast from Canada (Squamish), so I could very well be in your area. What are your closest crags? I love me a good night on a couch! :)

Well, anything Sequoia/Kings is within a few hours. Guidebook's been out of print since the 90's, and alot of the beta is tongue-in-cheek (keep the tourons away or something like that).
In Sequoia there's Moro, Chimney, Buck, and Watchtower to recommend.
Ton's of boulders around the area.
The Needles needs to be on your list as well. (In my opinion this is non-negotiable)
