What do I want for Christmas? I want to climb, to get better at French, snow, film for my camera, a 500mm lense and some other stuff that I can’t currently think of.

I'll take a year-long membership to Rockreation, and maybe a better harness...and a 60 meter dry rope...and some decent chalk...and...a crash pad...quickdraws...webbing...stronger hands...five hours a day to climb... [ This Message was edited by: funktimonious on 2002-11-26 00:23 ]

I've been meaning to share my insidious plan to start a trad rack (AND avoid getting socks), in case someone wants to borrow it. I've told my friends and family to pick a number between 1 and 13 out of a hat, then go down to Mountain Equipment Co-op and buy me the corresponding nut. Everybody gets to spend minimal money (actually, about the same they'd spend on a pair of socks), and I get a set of nuts. I've asked for tons of other stuff as well (gee, I hope Santa brings me that SR-71 Blackbird....). Kate

Overlord, do you mean a training boar for your dogs or a training board for your arms? I want another vet employee at the clinic I work in, so I have more free time to go outdoor.

i'd take a set or two of 'draws and a 60m dry rope. I was on this subject last night with someone and remarked that quickdraws could be come the victim of a horribly frugal jewish parent, giving their child one 'draw every night of hanukah. (almost as bad as adam sandler's one piece a night bike)

If I'm lucky enough to get a crash-pad, will Santa be able to fit it down the chimney?? Ah, who cares. He can leave it at the front door. That and a new rope .... and if I'm really lucky a sleeping bag with no holes.
