Not 100% climbing since I didn't get to do the goulotte I wanted to (the day after those were taken, terrible weather), but here are some from Chamonix, last Easter.

Nice shots! That's quite a conga line on Arete du Midi.

WOW... really nice shots you guys. I've been wanting a real camera for a long time, but I can't afford it. Anyways, I figured I'd throw some point and shoot pics up. From my last few years abroad.

Malaysia

New Zealand

Thailand, mostly koh Phi Phi

rtwilli4,
Get that "real camera" soon, you are more than ready it. Really good work here!

Thanks Paul. I'm workin on it. I should spend more time in the photo part of the site though... maybe I'll find some used gear.

I'm debating on buying the new Canon G10 versus just stashing that $400 as a start on saving for an SLR. I travel a lot so the best point and shoot out there makes sense for me. I'm also in the market for some trad. gear so I'm gonna have to make some decisions.

And now that I look back.. that last DWS pic was taken with a D3 but the rest were with either my Canon SD 850 or friends point and shoots.

Nice shots Chris!

I haven't shot much climbing lately (shots below are from a job in Yellowknife a few weeks ago, more on my blog) but I'm now in the UK & will be shooting all through Europe over the coming months so I'll have something climbing to post soon!

Great shots, folks!

Not that they're any good, but here's a couple of mine from this spring. At least by contrast they should make yours look even better!

Saving some of my best for a calendar the ACSD is putting together for 2010, but I can share some of the others.

Robb Kulin at the Santee Boulders

Josh Higgins bouldering "Terrible Face" (5.11b) at the Santee Boulders

Keli Balo on her route The Fledgling (5.12b) at Corte Madera

Johnnie working a problem at the Outback Climbing Center, UCSD

Definitely save the extra dough and go for the DSLR, it will make a huge difference on your images, especially for action shooting. The G10 is certainly a great camera, but it remains a P&S with a small sensor.
The entry level DSLR (Nikon D60, Canon 450D or whatever it's called in the US, Pentax K20D...) are so tiny now that traveling with them is really no hassle.

If you're really trying to save money, try to look for a somewhat older generation. There are some good deals on Nikon D40 kits, and possibly on the D60 whenever their successor is announced. I expect it's the same for Canon.
