Thanks, Yak!

... and there will definitely be "after" pics. there might even be 0, 25, 50, 75 mile AND 'after' pics. The support stations are to be every 25 miles...

Just an FYI, unless I added wrong, RC.knob has kicked in $900 so far.

Warms the heart, it does.

On a side note, I hope you'll get good weather!

A co-worker of mine is going on a 300 km (190mile?) race/run tomorrow, and the forecast calls for rain, 20-25mph winds and temps in the 50-55F region! Poor sods...

I've started to put sunscreen on my forehead. I tried to get a picture of it - the head- as a warning to a fellow short hair person *jack shits pants in rage*. The pictures didn't show it well enough.

The air vents in my helmet have it so when I take it off, I look like I'm playing football for the Michigan Wolverines *clausti shits pants in rage*. It's ok for me, cause I like that team *clausti shits pants in rage again*

Interesting.. Good luck, Christina.

I'm doing research in colon cancer. None of my relatives died of it. I don't do bicycling. But I need $2700 to purchase 4 lentiviruses from Dharmacon, Inc. for my experiments. And another $4000 to do a ChIP-seq screening. The results of my experiments may or may not cure somebody, but they will expand our understanding of how cancer cells work.

Writing NIH grants is very time-consuming and doesn't guarantee funding. Starting a panhandling website that explains what I am doing, where exactly the money go and with the pictures of experimental results with layman-oriented explanations sounds like a good idea to cover at least some small costs.

Just found out my parent's neighbor of 37 years just died this morning from cancer. Liver, they diagnosed it maybe a month ago. She had breast cancer maybe 10 years ago.
