Just an FYI, unless I added wrong, RC.knob has kicked in $900 so far. Warms the heart, it does.

On a side note, I hope you'll get good weather! A co-worker of mine is going on a 300 km (190mile?) race/run tomorrow, and the forecast calls for rain, 20-25mph winds and temps in the 50-55F region! Poor sods...

I've started to put sunscreen on my forehead. I tried to get a picture of it - the head- as a warning to a fellow short hair person *jack shits pants in rage*. The pictures didn't show it well enough. The air vents in my helmet have it so when I take it off, I look like I'm playing football for the Michigan Wolverines *clausti shits pants in rage*. It's ok for me, cause I like that team *clausti shits pants in rage again*

Interesting.. Good luck, Christina. I'm doing research in colon cancer. None of my relatives died of it. I don't do bicycling. But I need $2700 to purchase 4 lentiviruses from Dharmacon, Inc. for my experiments. And another $4000 to do a ChIP-seq screening. The results of my experiments may or may not cure somebody, but they will expand our understanding of how cancer cells work. Writing NIH grants is very time-consuming and doesn't guarantee funding. Starting a panhandling website that explains what I am doing, where exactly the money go and with the pictures of experimental results with layman-oriented explanations sounds like a good idea to cover at least some small costs.

Just found out my parent's neighbor of 37 years just died this morning from cancer. Liver, they diagnosed it maybe a month ago. She had breast cancer maybe 10 years ago. BUMP.
