Thanks for the reply. Doesn't look very promising considering the closest gym is in Oklahoma City Anyone else know of anything more local?

I live in OKC and realistically it may take you all of twenty minutes to get from Norman to downtown OKC where the gym is. As far as gyms go, Rocktown is really good, great staff, good routes, tall.... The good news is, from Norman youre only an hour from the Wichita Mnts, one the best climbing areas in the region.

If you can make it up north to Edmond there is a new gym called Holdistic. This gym has some great bouldering and a foam pit with a 30' wall above it. www.holdistic.com

Hmm.. well 20 minutes is pretty good. I had now idea it was that close, I was thinking it was more like 30 minutes with no traffic. Wichita Mountains you say? Guess I just got to get myself a car then, and start trying to find someone to climb with. Anyone know if there is a decent climbing community in OK? Willing to accept a fresh climber from the Norway? :D

I know that OSU (in Stillwater, an hour away from OU) has an outdoor club that takes climbing trips to various climbing locations, including the Wichitas. OSU also has a climbing gym in their rec center and they usually host some comps. I'd be surprised if OU didn't also have an Outdoor club that takes some climbing trips. Good luck.

Hiya, that sounds awesome, but I´m currently scheduled to arrive at 18th of August. And probably need some time to get set up ( haven´t got a place to live yet!) But shout out whenever you´re taking a trip climbing.
