angry wrote: So today at work I was remodeling the campus board and water sealing it. I inhaled a lot of treated wood sawdust and used a fair bit of spray paint. I felt normal riding home but I'm looking at this picture and wondering if I'm tripping balls. An unfortunate consequence of getting old - tripping on your balls. If they're sagging that much I suggest you look into a ball cupper. WMD kinda has his hands full at the moment, but he may be able to squeeze you in on nights and weekends. He does love his jorb.

This is the gf can't top rope the 5.8 coz shes to scared and the belayer cannot be arsed climbing the route again to get the gear down.... So he has to "batman" her up Except for it not being anywhere near 5.8, and having nothing to do with being scared, and the route not allowing a clean TR... sure.

It's really not hard to make it clicky yourself. I'm giving you 2 stars, just so you can't have the satisfaction of having 1. From what i can see, there are 3 components to this setup: 1. Figure 8 rappel device clipped to carabiner clipped to harness. Pretty standard there.2 2. Chest harness clipped to carabiner clipped to the carabiner that is attached to the fig. 8 rappel device. 3. Rope going to a backup belay from the top, attached to harness via a figure 8 rethread / follow-through. This isn't terribly uncommon for institutional use (camp walls, etc.), but is certainly waaaay too complicated for any kind of conventional rock climbing.

Wierd rappel set up. I enabled and stared ya! *pow!* The set up isn't weird...she's just on belay too. I have to belay people like this when I guide and I think all AMGA guides have to do this as well. Yup, classic institutional rappel. Thought I had a good pic of me doing one, but it's actually me bringing someone back up after they "rappeled" and looking white and pasty while doing it. So instead, I give you my foot: He's on a fireman's, bitch. Funny, I didn't get any tips that trip...
