I would like to suggest that there be a teenage forum, where teenagers (and other younger persons on this site) can just go and chill out, and escape the hassles of the day. At the same time of my suggestion I also have a question to pose the 'workers' of this site, or the administrators.
If my suggestion be passed on, and becomes a reality, I would like to ask a question concerning the moderators job, with reference to the forums. What excactly does a moderator do? Does one must be over the age of 18 to be one? For you see, I would love to be the moderator for this new teenagers forum, if there ever was one, and would happily do so. Merely a thought.
Thank you for your time, and I hope my idea, will find its way to your mind, or even this site.

We're all climbers, there's enough division already amoungst us in regards to bouldering, sport, trad, aid.
I don't know if this would be such a good Idea. Maybe you should start a post in the 'Community Forum' entitled 'Teenagers Sub-Forum', and see how that takes off.
Just my two cents munchkin.

Alright, I think I'll give that a shot, I won't right a real topic in that forum though, I'll just say that the administrators are considering making a forum like this, and this is a test drive of sorts.

I'm not quite a teenager any more at 21, but I'm still a young 'un. I agree with Adam. I think that if we start segregating ourselves based on age that we're asking for trouble. When I was 15-16, I used to teach a basic climbing class on the indoor wall of the store that I worked at. A lot of people would look at me pretty skeptically untill I got going because they didn't think that someone younger could teach that type of course. I think that by purposely separating ourselves, we are asking for that type of treatment.
Just my 2 cents.

Well i dun agree with this one ...
not because i'm against the teenagers .. but cause .... everything here are sorted ... and everybody can get what ever he/she wants.
Thngs here are not so much related to Age ,
besides they are free to contact each other and post what ever they want.
emm i guess Dats enough !

i don't know, if this starts what to say that all sorts of forum will spring up, say one for women only!, men between 20 and 30, dog lovers only, the list and forums could go on and on

yeh, I agree, a teenager forum would just be a start to the end. Not a great idea. Just my opinion. Now a good forum idea would be one about BEER! but of course, teenagers wouldn't be allowed so that is moving in another direction.

Hey Munch,
Instead of a seperate forum, maybe you could organize the teens to hit the chat site at a particular time each day/week. You could discuss the issues that are of particular interest to the group. I think that all the folk on the site are interested in the education and development of ALL climbers regardless of age, and seperating us is not the best way to go.

Im not sure it is such a good idea. Simply because all other specialized forums will spring up and cause more division. Give it a try though and make the final decision after the idea has been tested
