No it wasn't. Jokes are funny.

Josh

I thought the video was funny, but not a joke (at least not meant as one).

Jay

really? It seemed to me the guy was barely managing to keep the smirk off his face.

While Chris must certainly know how stupid this series of videos are, he has a pretty developed tendency to do things he knows are stupid for publicity, mostly bad publicity.

I never heard of him until this video. So, I guess he achieved something.

I never would have guessed that. Particularly not after watching part of another of his videos.

Climbing 20 feet up an artificial wall with a camera on you is not a solo. Solo means solo, no spectators, no film crews, just you and the rock.

It's subjective; I don't find you funny at all, and yet you're kind of a joke.

To be fair, although all of the videos are ridiculously awful, the guy has free soloed harder routes barefoot than most people will ever climb at all.

I don't think it makes it funny. I might think that it makes it stupid, but I'm not sure.

While I agree with your logic, I'm curious what else about his technique you would criticize and what you would suggest the proper way to relieve the kicking would be. Just touching the wall at one point?

Initiating the movement from the bottom leg would help get the move started and make it much more fluid.

seriously, you guys don't know who he is? He is kind of like Busta Rimes, he's a parody of himself. Oh, and he's a good climber, too.

Well he will certainly get a kick out of this thread in that case. Someone should send him a link.
