rode 125mi last week.. got my new helmet back from the warranty dept. yesterday. hopefully i can get out tonight or tomorrow to try it out. Kate came up for the weekend. hit up the gym yesterday and did ok. Having been stuck in RI a lot this summer is killing my climbing. I have not touched a new project on bolts in months. New stuff on gear has been fun though. got a blue mastercam to double up my green alien in that Sport chalet sale.

All last week temps were 10-15 degrees below normal, it was primo temps at the crags, much more like june than typical scorching july. Just watched the OT of the women's world cup, pretty exciting, too bad the US ladies couldn't lock it down.

Because of the self-serving nature of SoCakians and our preference for Cadillac Escalades and 14-lane highways instead of public transport. Carpe Diem if you will. Karmagedon Theeeeeyyyrreeee Heeeeeeerrrrreeeeee The gf headed south out of LA yesterday, made it about 7 miles in a about an hour and a half before turning back around. Which took her another hour and a half to get back home. Teh Exodus has begun. I read a zombie novel recently set just inland of the LA area... lots of hysteria and mass exodus. Rippling effect through the standstill traffic on the highways. San Fran had teh only holdout remaining on teh left coast.

Got swete redemption on Buster Brown, an overhanging fist crack. I tried it with zeke 4 years ago and got bouted... walked it this time but I did open a big gob. Did the neighboring wide crack Blockbuster, and finished up on Crackula. Shorter day, we were tired and Louie was in some distress due to the gnat attack. You place a bomber C3 off the ground, do a hard move to a tight finger lock with the piece at your waist, then a couple of foot movements to get into a slammer hand jam. C3z are bomber by nature. I've warmed to them after watching a friend who was pink-pointing my gear placements take a 30' onto the yellow (green alien). I think I will test all my gear from now on like this.
