I want to climb the nose on El Cap, the Diamond on Long's Peak and maybe some Alpine stuff in Alaska. I'd also like to do some treking in Asia. Anyone planning on climbing El Cap in 2003? Let me know (PM), maybe we can hook up. My first team to climb the Nose has already fallen apart.

to do the tyrolean traverse on the lost arrow spire (and be able to laugh about the absurdity of it all while doing it).

It's the journey that counts not the destination. I just enjoy every moment climbing.

I want to put up routes that lead to debates like this. Note especially the back and forth between jmlangford and others on at the end of page 1 as well as on page 2. [translation]I feel the need to prove that my the ratio of my bollocks size to brain size is in fact greater than 1. Whether or not reality reflects this is an other issue entirely[/translation]

i used to be a swimmer and swam all the time for other people. i didn't actually like it that much. since i've started climbing, its like therapy...just me and the rock. all my stuggles get thrown into my determination to conquer something. i would say to keep climbing to keep my sanity.

as far as climbing goals are concerned, my new year's resolution for 03 is to do some trad by the end of the year. I'm pretty new to the sport of climbing, quickly addicted, and i've been doing the poor man's climbing (bouldering) mostly. I love it, and while it will give me a lifetime of difficult enough problems, i think i'll enjoy the perspective big wall has to offer, and as far as big wall's concerned, trad's where it's at imho. happy climbing : )

my ultimate goal is to climb trango tower. fortunatly, if i ever actually take this on (believe me, i have a long way to go before its even concievable) allot of the logistics in pakistan will be minimized. my fiancee is from over there and she has some connections. (got a sighned poster by ed viesters prior to his k2 summit!)

Climb Everest. Just to prove to everyone that tells me I can't or I won't that I can. In the next six months climb a 5.10.
