dammit.

so, a month or so ago, it was getting a bit down here in Texas, so I bought me a beanie. A Prana beanie.

Yeah, yeah, I know, overpriced, image oriented, etc. I just wanted a beanie, and it wasn't THAT expensive ($20). I usually don't buy into all the "climber's wear" bull$#!&, but thought that just this once I might try it out.

One month later, the %@#$ing beanie is so stretched that it won't even fit on my goddamned head! I went and bought a Carhardt beanie for $5 that is twice as durable, warmer, and fits better.

Pisses me off. I can see why boulderers would buy this $#!&, I mean, they don't have to invest in huge $2,000 racks or anything. However, from now on, I'm sticking to Goodwill, or maybe Target if I have lots of money.

I could have saved the money from the beanie for a new cam or something.

%@#$ PRANA!!!!!!!

Paul,

Most climbing cloths suck ass and aren't worth the overpriced amount they're worth. Especially Prana. Besides, most of it is rather stupid looking, but that's my opinion.

No, most isn't quality. If you want something good you usually have to spend even more and go with North Face or Patagonia. I won't touch Prana with a ten foot pole. I had a pair of their shorts once and the damn things didn't last worth a crap. So 60 bucks (FOR SHORTS!!!) went right out the window. You know what, I had Prana shorts, I have North Face shorts, but the best ones of them all (and they only costed 38 dollars) are my Columbia shorts.

Prana sucks.

I'm thinking this is just an isolated incident, but I bought my girlfriend a Prana Beanie, the fleece one, about 3-4 months ago. No problem with the stretching, but the stitching is coming undone. Nothing a needle can't fix, but it's a pain in the ass

excuse me, sarah and colorado boy. before you mock my geographical location anymore, I ask you this. Did YOU go climbing yesterday outside, and in shorts and no shirt??? hehe, didn't think so.

anyway, yeah daisy, I tried washing the stoopid beanie, which only made it worse and looser. I'm sticking to Carhardt stuff from now on.

I hate them. They have sharp teeth and can even devour a person if there's enough of them....

Oh...

Prana....

nevermind.

I think that prana has a very cool looking logo and when I sent them an email, they sent me a buncha stickers for free so they may have 1 or 2 overpriced products that may fall apart but they are cool in my book =)

Prana sucks. It's simple fact that they are over priced, poorly manufactured crap.

If you're going to get yourself ripped off, you might as well get a Patagonia or North Face item instead. For the extra 5 bucks, it's worth it.

Prana is just a meaningless fashion statement that only says you have too mush money to know what to do with so you blew it away on some junk you know will not last. Besides, who cares about fashion when you are hanging off the side of a cliff?

The only complaint I have is that when climber chicks wear Prana's tight little spandex pants and tops I bust a wood quicker than lighting a firecracker and it shows through my Prana pants.

well done stoutclimb1. the weather is gorgeous in colorado right now, and best of all you are climbing in colorado instead of crappy little pretend crags in texas.

i wish carhartt made pants with gussetted crotches. they would be the ultimate offwidth pants ever.

Fat People look funny in beanies.

If you don't own something thats Prana, you're not a real climber.

hey... what about those people who actually DON'T climb...and they wear Prana... what does that make them?
You know, I hate it when people see me walking down the street, or at school, wearing Prana... "Oh, you sweatshirt says Prana, on it. You MUST be a climber.."

Well, I have the right to say yeah, I am a climber... what about those who arent?
