(Said in the same squeaky voice as the 15 year old girl who's parents I was helping set up a top rope anchor this weekend) Went to a Vans outlet in SoCal a few years ago... The same one I went to in the 70's as a kid. I was looking for a specific style of deck shoe... When I described the shoe, to the 17 year old kid working there, he said in total Spicoli stoner voice, "Wow, dude... Those are like 6 years ago... Those are way old school." I said, "Huh? Old School? I used to buy the original Vans here, the ones that came in only Blue or Red, and back then, we could buy one Blue and one Red if we wanted." He said "Whoa dude... Your fvckin' old man!"

Yep, I've been a member longer than 8. But I've missed most of the last 4. Of course, in the larger sense I've missed most of the last41 years.

Hey Marge! Great to see ya! I'm not too shabby. Married, 2 year old daughter, my own design studio... and someone made blondgecko a mod when I wasn't looking, so it's a mixed bag... How you doing?

I haven't been on much in the last couple years since I hurt my shoulders, but I still see some old school names around. If you've been here longer than 8 years, stand proud and post up! My shoulders hurt and I still took today off to get in some climbing. Now they really frikkan hurt. Ice and 4 ibuprofens later I'm typing this. Bet I've been here @ 8 years.

I moved even farther away from real rock this spring and I rarely visit or post here, but I still love to climb. Built this in my barn to stay sane. 400+ sq. feet, 14+ feet tall and not finished.

Kearney...although technically I'm 2 hours closer to Colorado. I miss all my climber friends at UNL and UNO.

At least I was only six years off on that one! Go Irish! Beat Bama! Yeah, that isn't happening . . .
