DON'T BLAME ESCALADE QUEBEC, there's probably a lot of pressure and stress placed on the site's owner by all sides of the debate.
All this is following debates on the lack of action, communication, excessive cleanings/gardening, dangerous re-equipment of existing routes by the Federation Quebecoise de la Montagne et de l'Escalade.
The FQME is an organization which hold access to many climbing sites throughout Quebec in their hands by offering liability insurance to landowners, membership to it is mandatory to climb at those sites.

It's a real shame what's going on here.
Never been a fan of the FQME. Their politics were faulty right from the beginning.
I can't believe that they had the balls to block Ulrich from getting a bolting certification in France. Especially since they won't offer one here in Quebec. The FQME is totally ignoring some of the most prolithic bolters in Quebec.

The worse part of this whole thing is not the blatant disregard about your voices as members and climbers in the community. They are so busy trying to protect there asses that none of the people who are supposed to work for you are actually dong anything positive. Its a power struggle for statute that doesn't even exist.
You know. Its hilarious almost, to see that Horizon Roc has over 60,000 accreditations on file over the past 18 years. That means that in quebec alone, there are, at any given time, about 20-30k climbers. But only 1200 members of the FQME. Which means, that most don't give a fuck about what they are doing and prefer to not support them. Without the 200+k from the Gov each year, this "thing" would not survive.
Everything you need to support me/us is below. Read the threads carefully, listen to the audio and make sure you send an email to the FQME and CC the ministry in it so someone can do somthing.
