I have been hangboarding a bit at the gym, warming up with a good 30 min arc session. Now I am taking my training home and am looking to see what methods are used to warm up your fingers. I have done some searching and read about some light cardio and finger stretching and massage. Any other good warm up ideas?

Finger stretches, maybe a few pullups, or weighted deadhangs on the jugs of your hangboard. Also, I could not find any info online quickly, but light finger rolls would work, too. They're similar to "heavy finger rolls,". The only difference is you do these with much less weight, and preferably with barbells rather than with benchpress bars and weights. 20-30 lb barbells would probably be good for a warmup, but you may want to start lighter and figure out what warms you up the best. Also, it doesn't directly warm up your fingers, but yoga, antagonist muscle training like pushups, and leg lifts usually get me feeling limber enough to jump on the hangboard.

Eva Lopez has a blog entry on this subject which you might find interesting. I believe she recommends some easy hangboard sets if you are at home. http://en-eva-lopez.blogspot.com.es/...hat-warm-ups-is.html Edited to make clicky.

Any other good warm up ideas? I do 10 minutes of cardio, then a few pull ups from jugs, and then try to simulate easy climbing moving between different holds with my feet on the ground. I hang from a hold, pretend I'm chalking up, then reach for another hold, etc. As I feel more warmed up, I try to put less weight on my feet. Something similar to what this guy does, except I keep it easy enough to never get pumped. I try to replicate the feeling of doing maybe 5 easy boulder problems at the gym. http://www.youtube.com/...IO-xYIUQ&t=4m25s
