Ok, so technically it was just some class 3 scrambling but hey it felt scary enough and I hoisted myself up using my arms some of the time, so it counts. Plus, mountains.

Spent the last two nights boondocking with no hook ups in a remote Forest Service campground 5 miles in a dirt road in the extreme NE corner of CA looking for some legendary obsidian mines. We found 3 mines, hauled out 100# of stone, got a flat tire and multiple cuts/puncture wounds (obsidian is sharp!!!), and ate all of our meager supplies and 5 gallons of water. Found a guy 20 miles away this morning to open up his tire shop, fix the flat, replace a bad valve on the spare, and all for $25 and a 45 minute delay. Guess it pays to cross through towns with 2k population and 27 churches; he was full of Sunday love-thy-neighboredness.

However, before the Simpsons, people did use to ask me how Gracie was. Don't even start with Johnny Cash.

So after teh career fair, I went ahead and sent my resume to my freind, on the chance that he might forward it to those who told him there were lots of jobs. He was not interested himself, looking to retire and move out of state. He forwards it to an old freind, who forwards it to the one guy at the job fare. that guy said he would have 1-2 contract manager jobs open in 60-90 daze.

notapplicable wrote: I can dig it You can help by spreading the word. Oil Pastel on Glass approx 12 x 15" (could do larger) with shipping and frame for $400. Probably would do larger for the same price (16 x 20, thereabouts. I have to work with cm here). would pay 20% via paypal to anyone who does a direct sale (direct sale = that person bought something as a direct result of you telling them to buy that thing. Direct sale doesn't = a friend of your direct sale buys something after seeing the purchase). And if the price tag gets your head spinning, it's art and the materials and shipping aren't cheap. That and art adds value to people's lives...without a doubt. On portraits, head shots are easier for me to do. On landscapes, anything that's remotely close. Oil pastels are difficult to do details with.
