So after teh career fair, I went ahead and sent my resume to my freind, on the chance that he might forward it to those who told him there were lots of jobs. He was not interested himself, looking to retire and move out of state. He forwards it to an old freind, who forwards it to the one guy at the job fare. that guy said he would have 1-2 contract manager jobs open in 60-90 daze. Fantastic! In reply to: *bangs head against desk* We're all out of here in 30 daze. Oh, right. Did I mention we're cutting back 900+ jobs? Does that mean you're sticking around longer or no? I have no hope of staying on longer. People have been going around touting number like 50 jobs in one area, 300 or 400 jobs over all. But I am only seeing a ferw here and there. Some not even opening up untill after we're all fired. you're getting a year, plus you may be eligible for unemployment, too. I wouldn't stress until it's time. Yea, well there is that. Cept the last time I was unemmployeed I was living with me mom and dad. And didn't have other mouths to feed.

And I just like the look on her face. The doe eyed exuberance. I wish I was that psyched on life when I'm out climbing. Anymore, I spend most of my time scowling at people who are already on the route I wanted or complaining about how suboptimal the conditions are or making excuses for why I FAILed so hard.

I'm a little depressed out this, too. I want to make climbing a much more regular part of my life like it used to be, but I understand why it's not right now. I simply don't have the time and i need to commit to getting my art out there. That's time consuming. My hope is that once I start generating cash that I'll be able to set recreation back on the agenda. Simply not that plausible at the moment. But I'll get there. I feel things are moving forward in a really good way right now.

The latest: A buddy of mine in Boston performing live (he's an actor and musician). Good news is that I think I have three new sales in this new medium. Really stoked to know that there may be three or four more coming in the next few weeks.

scary news is that the lady just sent out a press release for my exhibit...and since she's a journalism professor...guess where the press release is also going...yeah, to the local TV station, specifically the culture show. She's thinking I'm going to do an interview on TV in Portuguese.
