OK now we are rally getting close, just another month and we'll be in March and the weather will be much better, I'm sure we'll see plenty for 40+ deg days, then April and we're golden again.
Anyway, we'll be watching Feb. for our 40+ deg day to get out to Barns so watch here for details if you want to come along, of coarse if it gets close to the end of the month and we havent found 40 I'm sure Dann and I will take a sunny mid 30s day and make the best of it.

We should maybe start thinking about the 2ed annual MN gathering, its kinda early yet but I was thinking maybe June this year to get into some better weather and maybe be able to do some night climbing one of the nights. Let me know what you think and we'll start making serious plans next month

I knew you'd be around sooner or later to start this if I started talking 'bout the end of the month...

I'm not going to comment on the weather more than to say I hope to get some good stuff!, for fear of being jinxed... But yeah, if it gets close to the end of the month and we've been shut out, I'll go out there at 20 degrees and climb Sunburst in gloves and go back home to keep the streak going...

As for the 2nd Annual Minnesota Gathering, I can probably make just about anything work but lets all check dates and callendars and start posting our preferences. Then Les can start an Event Post and see if some foreigners show interest. I can think of at least 3 guys from flatashellNebraskaland that might be interested. Plus there are a few new members in MN and WI that might want to show up. And then there's the l_j_x situation...

We might even want to make an "advance" run down there to test the rock Les... And maybe we can see if we can look up "Craig & Buzz" and get them to show us some stuff NOT in the current guide book...

Alright... I'm done...

See yall!

You'll see me there col_sanderz... Not competing (sp?) 'cus, I'm not really a competing type-a-guy, but I volunteered to be a belay slave all day. I'd let you crash at my place but, I have to work Sat. night after the comp and won't be home...

OK, I guess rocksolid didn't climb Monday night partially 'cus nobody posted saying "Hey, I'm climbing..."

So, to avoid any more of that, Hey, I'm climbing at VE Wednesday night... Anyone else wants in, just show up...

Bye for now people...

Hey Minnesota people, I know we havent started planning our MN rc.com gathering, but it wi;ll probly be late may early June, meanwhile there is a midwest gathering brewing for Sept. at Devils lake WI. I think it would be cool if we made a strong Mn. showing there. Post here:
http://www.rockclimbing.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=23385&forum=27
if your interested and we can maybe work out some car pooling later. My house might be a good place to meet and leave extra cars if nessesary since I'm on the way down for most.

ttyl

Les

P.S. they need to plan this early as its very hard to get camp sites at the S.P., It looks like they are going to get group sites.

We'll do Josh... And we'll be countin' on ya!

The way it looks right now, its probably going to be the last weekend in May or the first weekend in June.

Feel free to check back here or I'll try and remember to PM ya when we know the date for sure.

In the mean time, here's another one you might consider. Its a bit farther away but would be fun if you guys could make it...

And the VE 10th Annual Passion for Flashin' is over for another year... Get all the details at the gym but just to give you a hint, guess who won the "Open" events???

A 13 year old girl, and a 17 year old boy... And actually, the girl (Alex J. who climbs at the St. Paul VE) got further than ALL the contestants in the Mens division. SICK! ash route!

chek yall l8er

Just try not to do it on the same weekend as the RMNP Spring Hoo-Ha. They're planning it for the first or second weekend in June, and I'm hoping to go to that too. Once again I plan to spend my summer driving across the central US climbing with my RC.com friends!!

Well Josh, since you're the first one besides Les and I to pony-up with a preference for dates, I think we should do our best to accomadate your request... Hopefully we can work it out...

You know us old MN guys. We just love to be able to take you guys under our wing and help you out when you do a last minute road trip to climb with us. You know, like provide you with utensils and condiments and cooking facilities, and beer of course...

I looked at that thread and didn't see that they had decided on a "for sure" date yet. When they do, let us know asap...

Les, we may need to send a "Form PM" to all the kiddies in MN to get this thing started...

I'll work on a list of names today and maybe get it going today and we can keep a manual tally of prefered dates, I'l also message an admin and see if I cant push my idea of a poll for state pages.

Hey everyone! Jay, Ed, and I made it back from Red Rocks in one piece. We had beautiful weather, and got 3 days of great climbing in (two days doing sport routes, and a day of bouldering). It was an excellent trip! But after a few days in the desert, MN is flippin' cold!!!

I assume that the usual crowd will be at VE on Monday?

Climb on!
Craig
