I replaced most of the anchors and any 1/4" bolts I could find at the Far Side. If anyone finds any more, let me know.

There are many many more that need replacement. Tons of spinners and rusted hangers and chains...There have recently been many more people out at the far side. The trail has seen more use than ever and there were three groups out on Sunday, the most people I've ever seen there. Usually there is no one there...

Both routes, Far and Father need replacement, as well as Kola...

It sounds like you need to get yourself a drill.

Contact Greg Barnes at ASCA. He's a Bay Area local. Who knows? He might be willing to provide some bolts, or even arrange to get some work done out there.

There's been a lot of work done out there recently from what I understand. ASCA hardware was donated and installed on a number of routes. I think the work crew will finish replacing the bad/old fixed gear, it just takes time.

Many of the anchors and some lead bolts at the Far Side have been replaced with 1/2" stainless bolts/hardware donated by ASCA. There is still some work to do. If you decide to contribute to the effort please only use stainless steel bolts, commercial (not home made) hangers, and do not use silicone or epoxy to seal the holes. We removed/replaced some junk hardware store bolts and rusted 1/4" chain hangers that a well meaning but miss-guided person installed.
The trail also got an overhaul but continues to grow. Take your clippers...

Thanks,
Jerry
