waterbottles are hard to reach in the holder on your backpack...we should use those beer hard hats with the straw coming down. Does anyone else do that? Or have I just invented a new RC concept?

This is where Camelback and Platypus come into play. There is no reaching involved. HAHA, good idea though.

You can send Nalgene bottles back, for a new one, if they break.

You can use 2-liter soda bottles or 1-liter Gatorade bottles. They are almost indestructable and free. Why pay for a Nalgene?

I'd like to know that, too. I've never heard if it before (except the new Nalgene canteen bladders) and I've seen them take some serious abuse. My father still uses the Nalgene bottles he used before I was born. What did they do, shoot it???

I broke mine dropping it full of water. The seam on the bottom cracked. Wish I knew about the send back.

That's crazy. I've dropped plenty of them before.
By the way, they'll also replace them for free if they ever leak, but I've never heard of them leaking, either.

Albertonium- Must have been a defect... Lord knows how many times I have dropped mine full of water... I remember one time when I was on top of Half Dome (hiked it) and I dropped it... almost rolled off the edge, but it pulled through in the end, haha.

I've tried to break mine as well as have my friends. The only reason I would not let them run over it with a car is I didn't want the stickers getting all jacked up Besides I knew the car would not do anything to it anyway.

The really pathetic thing. I dropped it beside my truck. I didn't even get to the trailhead.

I forgot my Nalgene on the outside of my pack and checked it for a flight. Airlines can break anything.
