We'd almost have to put a picture on every day to get all the great pics into it.
Kind of like the farside calendars.

rc.com is the perfect platform to choose the pics for the calender.
We can already vote on posted photos so someone tracks the top ten for each month from August to August then we all vote again on the top 13 (one for the cover).
August to August gives time to format, publish and print with ample time for sales prior to the New Year.
This is just some rough brainstorming on how it could work with the existing system or small modifications.
Good idea ontario_guide! :D

that would be totally sweet, i'd totally get one. i think the main thing is just finding someone to really step up and promote the idea and take charge of the project.

By the way everyone, Ontario was the person to come up with this great idea! Just want to make sure we put credit where credit is due. I just wanted to make sure the message got carried through.

Thanks for the credit! I'd like to volunteer to get this thing going. Anyone with me to start putting together a team to launch this calendar?

I'd buy two... one for home, and one for my classroom. Maybe three... one to give to some random kid on my climbing team.

I think this is a great ideas...

It would take capitol ($$$ up front to make them) and we would also need express permission from the owners of the pics before we could use them.

We have made stickers, broke even, but only on the 2nd design, the first we were in the hole on.

Patches, in the hole.

How many would actually buy them, and not just say they will, as less than half who said they would buy some of the items above actually did ???

i would probably buy a few:
one for my room
one for my gym
maybe 2 or more for climbing buds
if the price is right of course (if they are gonna be $20 each then i would only get 1)

great idea, i would hope to see plenty of pictures by climbnow1 and orangeoverhang on there, as they are in my opinion easily the best all round photographers on this site (guys with the most great pics of HARD routes (especially climbnow1!! he has pics of up to 14b!)

not to mention all the great landscapes and stuff!

Go for it! :D

last year as a gift, i received a calendar from climbing magazine i think...

it had pages and pages of pictures, not just 12 months
12 pages on it... but, like 52 weeks worth of pictures.

now that would be kewl.
:)
but cost wise?
well... it would add up, i'm sure.

just a thought*
