I would love to answer this question for you but I have only been climbing for about 6 months now. So I guess after 6 months I can comfortably lead 10's and i have done a hand full of 11's and one 12. All on lead.

I'm getting close to two years, and I'm climbing mostly 10's though I've been battling a shoulder problem for the better part of the last year and haven't done nearly as much climbing as I would have liked!

The first few times I climbed (in junior high 10 years ago), I could do 5.12s indoors. In the past year that I have begun the climbing addiction (it's an addiction now but has always been in my blood), I've been too lazy to find out what rating I can climb. Of this I am sure: I can do much more and will do everything I can to improve mentally, physically, and fi$cally (more gear!). I hope you'll do the same. Most important of all, have fun! :D

After two years, I was doing some 5.8s. But then, that was in 1972.

After 2 years of climbing, I could TR 5.12, and used to think I was good. After 12 years of climbing I can now comfortably lead 5.7.

Sh*tty. Just like now and it's been seven or eight years now. I exceed at a new level of ugly climbing and I'm quite proud of it. Make a note: Climbing isn't about being good. It's about climbing. End of note--

I just hit the two year mark this week. I can lead 5.10 sport outside and I'm starting to creep into the 5.11 range but only in the gym. I just started leading trad, however, I'm not where I wanted to be after two years...whatever.

I've been climbing for about 3 months now, and i'm solidly in the 8's and i can hack my way up on the 9s and 10s, top rope. I've just started learning how to lead (sport) so we'll see how that goes when I challenge myself with those. Not all that bad for 3 months. :)

After two years of outdoor climbing, I'm top roping 5.10, but only leading 5.8/5.9/5.10 sport, 5.5/5.6/5.7 trad. I have only lead about 5 different routes, so I'm not fully into leading yet. I can sport lead 10's, but it is often scary. But, its not just the grades, in how good are you after 2 years. There are other things you learn. Anchors, rescue systems, knots, climbing-language, learning about your gear, getting into yoru local climbing community. Andrew

I just hit the two year mark. Sport: 5.12c (leading of course) Boulder: V6/7 Trad: 5.8 (only two leads so far, and LOVING it). Climb for the love of it. Grades are just an unimportant side effect. cheers,

of the past 2 years, I've been platuoed (sp?) for about 1.5 years at 10b/c top rope 10a sport. its kinda annoying, but I don't climb enough, or for numbers so.

just over 2 mos climbing... 5.7 is about the best i can do with panache, and i can do some 5.8 and up with...little panache, some struggle, and much relying on belayer. belayers are underappreciated people sometimes.
