Throw them in the car and take them out to the crag to watch you climb. Tell them it's really cool and they'll be really impressed and maybe they'll go along. Where's your nearest crag? Is it near hiking trails or other outdoor areas that they could enjoy while you're climbing nearby?

hit the liquor cabinet, be sure to embarass yourself and get sick on one of the guests. Yes, you'll get hell for it, but then you tell them that you know that you have a problem and climbing keeps you sober. Next time this happens, all it will take is a reminder of what happened the last time you didn't get ouside on the weekend. If you play it well, you could scam them for gas money too!

Maybe I just have a really cool family, but I'd bring mine with me...hell they'd be more excited about trying it themselves, or ditching me to go hiking or trail running!!
