on the subject of Katie brown, i met Katie and chris sharma in Hampi ....karnataka ..India. I think Chris plans to come back to make a bouldering video..this is one of the best bouldering places in the world. U got to see it to believe it..!!! 8)

Hi,
I had breakfast with Chris in Lembert Dome parking lot last week, please excuse the name dropping. Anyway, he said that they had a blast, the boulders were incredible and the video should be really good. Also, I can't remember if it's Aug. or Sept., but chris said they were planning on a video tour at some gyms across the country.
Also,also, he didn't offer it and I actually had to pry it out of him, but he sent some boulder problem across the pond that may be harder than anything else. I'm not really up on the bouldering thing so it went right over my head, but I think he said some people were calling it V16, if thats reasonable than thats probably what he said.
It's pretty obvious, to me, that Chris does not feel particularly comfortable talking about his climbing these days. His eyes really light up if you engage him in almost any other subject. It's pure speculation, but I think that he is starting to regret missing out on all the killer days of hangin with his buds while growing up. On a more positive note, when I ran into him he was hangin with one of his childhood friends and talking about finding a good swimming hole to play in. Of course, when I left him he was racking up to go play on Medlicot Dome.
Chris is a really great person and I salute his spirit, any path he chooses and everything he has given to us and our beloved sport. Thanks Chris!
