I suggest a boulder field called the Playgrounds up on West Camino Cielo. It has a complete view of Goleta, UCSB, the Channel and the islands. The climbing goes from scrambling up to 5.9, all natural. Probably goes higher, but that bidnes is too rich for my blood. I don't think there are many, if any bolts, so bring pro and long (>30') webbing to set up TR. There are lots of good friction slab, albeit not long, routes ([ This Message was edited by: floof on 2002-01-31 23:21 ]

I've got a lacrosse game coming up this weekend at UCSB. Has anyone climbed this? There's got to be some good climbs around Santa Barbara with all those cool rock formations . . . anyone got any leads for me?
