My girlfriend just barely started climbing with me and i was wondering if anyone knew of a nice easy and short (she's afraid of heights) climb? We did a 5.6 but that was a little hard so preferably somthing in the 5.5 or 5.4 range.
thanks

5.4 or 5.5?! Some of the scrambles to the base of climbs are harder than that. But seriously you might try Lisa Falls. (hopefully your girlfriends name isn't Lisa  ). There are several 5.5 - 5.7 climbs there.

I would also try BCC, there is a climb called Beach Ball Crag at the Ledgemire pic-nic area (5.4 according to the book). it is 30' with TR anchors. My daughter who is 5 learned to climb there. Also if you lead trad I would try Storm MTN pic-nic area. there are 2-3 5.5ish climbs there. Good Luck. John

If you can get beta "Jumbo Shrimp" by the infamous BG is a good short one in the 4 to 6 range :P

Lisa Falls is your best bet. There is good easy long stuff in Big Cottonwood, but the quartzite can be funky for gear.

If she isn't stoked to at least be outdoors with you, don't push the climbin' thang too hard. If she digs it, waycool[huecool]. Don't insist that she get scared if that's not what she wants. Seriously, I would kind of like a gal that is totally ignorant of climbing. I could be honest about everything I did, that would be nice...........................

There is an easy 5.6 bolted route at Storm Mountain in BCC. Its around the corner from Goodro's, and to the left of the Ampitheater.
