Hey I was just wondering if anyone has any beta on Never never land on El Cap? Maybe someone could direct me to a topo? I serched google and came up empty It is also not in the super topo book (acording to my friend who has my copy) or on thier website, yes its not in thier obscurities section either. I f someone could post a link to a topo that would be great, or any other beta would be much apreciated. Ive seen it listed as a moderate nail up VI A3 but heard it might be a new wave A4 PDH with some DFU sections? Thanks evryone cheers

Yes, I'm about to head up this one. I'll remind him about your pitons, Chad. Maybe he can ship them to you or something while he's in the states... John-Paul

I had never never heard of it until Pete mentioned it here. I hope it's a nice route, but my guess is that if it's obscure, and it's on EL-FREAKIN-CAP, it may be obscure for a reason. Good routes on El Cap get climbed. A lot. Good routes that are really hard get climbed quite a bit (by guys with much more ability and talen that me) and you hear about the route because of it's reputation. Hard routes that SUCK get done on rare occasion and you don't hear much about them. I'll be interested to hear about this one, dude. FWIW, Middendorf's website has it listed as a moderate nailing route that goes at 5.10 A3. http://www.bigwalls.net/climb/Yos.html Ed

Leave your pins at home. There are so many pins that were racked up and not used on Bermuda Dunes, PTPP has them all, right there. You should worry about getting into shape for hauling bags up the very last section of the route, a notoriously slabby section of El Cap. Most SW face walls get steeper, so your light bags are easy to haul. Anything West of Excalibur or the Cosmos Direct Finish has a nasty finish in this regard.

Thanks for the replys. I have no access to Reids book as no one carries it around here, I even checked between here and vancouver area and never ran across it (and thats like a long way eh. ) I could order it I suppose but I have the super topo bool already and all I really want is to just peak at the topo for NNL. Could anyone post it? Thanks again for your responses cheers
