Count me in on the condo too! When do you want my money honey? ill put together a flight of vino for the brave and easily hammered, and a fun assortment of other libations that we can imbibe, or guzzle depending on the mood and the climbing.....

Dude! I would totally be up for the condo thing! I could put forth my share of $$$. Just PM me if: 1) You have enough room, and please! I can setup a bed ANYWHERE! As climbers you should know the validity of that statement! :D :D :D 2) You have a price in mind! I would love to meet new people and learn as much as possible from them. Plus all my friends are moving away and I need new ones! :D  :D  Oh and mtngeo, thanks for the encouragement man! I am doing my best to be there. WOOT WOOT! Oh... and this is for Flamer
In reply to: Hey Neeshman, I have a good buddy who lives down in St George. he a pretty damn good climber and that include's Ice. Maybe you know Chad? Anyway there is supposed to be some pretty good ice up around Cedar city...and I know that's close!! You could always take one of the Beginner clinic's at the festival. Hey I know who Chad Perkinsd is, never met him personally but I know of him. Is that who you are talking bout?

Wait a sec, what other kind of learning did you think I was talking about? BTW, anyone passing through southern Utah to get to the festival need any help with gas money and driving? It would be awesome to do some sort of car pool, I would chip in gas $$$ fo sho! I can get there on my own, just wondering though. PS. I would need a ride back to obviously

Hey babeage, that looks familiar. Is that in the condo complex next to the river at the south end of town (the one across the parking lot from the hot springs?). It's called River something. I stayed there the winter before last, the offseason December rate for that puppy was only $75 a night...for 3 stories, patio, fireplace, living room, dining room, full kitchen, washer/dryer in the unit. That thing was SWEET!! I imagine they jack the prices though around the week before Xmas and keep them high thru February. Early/mid December is a great time to be around both there and Telluride, the end of the off-season deals are a steal!

wanna' know what that picture of the room reminds me of? remember joe walsh from the eagles? back in the day when rockers were wild ... i mean [b:d5144a1290]really[/b:d5144a1290] wild ... joe was the recognized king of trashing hotel rooms. in fact he once used a [i:d5144a1290]chainsaw[/i:d5144a1290] to completely and utterly destroy a penthouse suite in some high-dollar hotel. one year for his birthday, the rest of the guys gave him a gold-plated chainsaw. i imagine joe standing by the stairs thinking, "okay ... [i:d5144a1290]heeeere[/i:d5144a1290] we go!"

Yes, if there's someone to tele with. I'm very adept at towing knuckle-draggers all around mountains (somewhere someone decided that my additional degree of freedom made me the tow-boy), but I'd much rather have someone to rip with. I'm in for whatever - as long as there's people there to play with, I'm up for it. Do we know or have any cute tele-babes?

Anyways I hope to meet alot of you there and party!!!! hope there is still going to be free beer!!!!. the condo situation looks great. Still rounding up a pose from St George - should be enough to whip the horses over the passes and through the valleys. Booked into the Victorian - 'cos its hot tubs are the closest to the ice! Got the hawaian shirt ready for action. They say we all drank 31 kegs last year - seems like a challange to me? Are you chalet homies planning a party night? Or day...

In reply to: there are a number of front rangers who don't seem to get the word about these august happenings. Uh, I thought this was in January, not August. How do you climb ice in August? I'm so confused...
