Please don't persecute against me but I Have made a time at Rockn and Jamn for me and del_tree to have a match... what im asking is whether or not you "the climbing community" agrees with me competing in a formal competition against him. I do not want to be labelled a "self promoter" but at the same time i do want to put him in his spot. Please respond below with your comments and if you have any questions please feel free to include them.

i believe someone with a video camera should be present, not just for video proof of what goes down. But mainly for entertainment value, i'd love to see it if they are as good as they say.

Is this a "slacklining type of competition" ??? If not, why did you post this in Slacklining ???

Ya know, I glanced at this thread (because the subject line is so non-descript) and thought to myself, "either a troll or some immature teenager", and figured it wasn't worth responding.

Then I read this thread and now I'm a little agitated.

If this is a troll, you suck. Idiotic posts have made this site barely worth filtering through lately.

If you are some kid trying to rationalize your egomaniacal competitiveness, grow up. Somebody out there can climb better than you. I guarantee it. Deal with it, have a good cry about it, do whatever you have to do. Just don't come here and expect us to care. People die climbing, and you're worried about "who's better" than you? Feh.

You deserve to be "persecuted against". People with attitudes like yours make this site, and climbing in general, MUCH less fun.

If there is no money involved I wouldn't do it. The only person I climb or anything else against to "put in there place" is me.

Just go have fun

Yeah, it seems to be. See the following thread:

In response to the initial post: No, go for it. He sounds like a prick that needs to be taken down a couple notches. And if he actually can do all the stuff that he claims, then... well, I can't ethically advise any of the courses of action that are floating around in my sick mind

I think it is very important, critically so, that this competition take place at the soonest opportunity.

May the REAL CLIMBER (tm) be victorious!

Does the loser have to quit the gym and leave town?

Have you considered upping the stakes? How about a free solo contest? First one to splatter loses!

Yeah, that's it! A climbing contest to the death! I'd pay a buck to see THAT.

Nuts, man, nuts! Why? Are you flippin mad? You are the jcraziest person I could ever possibly imagine! I open up my dictionary and look up the term "crazy" and there is your picture beside it! I mean why on God's green earth would you waste a whole precious dollar on that when you could buy one tenth of a perfectly good quickdraw?
