Usually we work every day but Christmas Day and New Years Day, but this year we got the day after off after each of them (Friday). So we're spoiled this year. I can't wait. As for Thanksgiving we got Thurs and Fri off.

Nope, I get Thanksgiving, X-mas, and New Years day off. I also used up all of my extra vacation days by taking Fridays off for the rest of the year. Sorry about your situation though.

I work at a movie theater. I am expected to work Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. Sucks? Sorta. But I do get time and a half for all hours worked on those days.

In reply to: I might have to work through the holidays. :( Anyone else have this situation? I have to work Thanksgiving and the day after, Xmas Eve and Xmas day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Unfortunate nature of my profession. The only upside is I get holiday payback comp days for the holidays I work so at least working the holiday gives me a paid day off at a later date.
