In reply to: At least I *earn* my salary. Your turn. How's that? By never bringing the wheels in and starting an Iv while we do CPR? Or could it be arriving 10 minutes after we do.... josh

I'm down. My wife approves. Maybe I'll try and drag Trevor out. His wife sometimes lets him out of the cage, too. ;-) Adam? Will you be done in Souft Carolina by then?

In reply to: Or could it be arriving 10 minutes after we do.... josh Well, I suppose if all we did was sit around the station all day, rather than running calls, we could be on scene as fast as the bucket brigade. :) Not that I care anymore, since I'm no longer "there." Wish ya could have joined us today... warm, sunny, and clear. Ran laps on HighWire Crag in Clear Creek. Led People's Choice (did it as two pitches, led both,) and Cracker Jack. Good stuff. See ya soon, everyone... Ouray is a month away.

In reply to: In reply to: *sweet* i'm onboard. i'll probably be meeting up with an offline friend from durango. we'll either camp or make the drive to durango for toasty accommodations. yay. yo, amber_chica ... you and yer "offline friend" should reacquaint yourselves with geography as it pertains to your plans. the durango-ouray route up US 550 is kinda' sketchy that time of year. it could take an hour and a half; it could take all day; and, as can sometimes happen, the road might just be closed. of course, i haven't factored for the possibility your "offline friend" has a helicopter. yep. he's driving up from durango and we'll decide what to do from there. if the roads are shitty, we'll probably just camp. in other words, we'll probably camp .. but please let me have my delusions of toasty accommodations for FREE .. after all, if i cant have my dreams, what can i have??!

Hey Reno, Flamer, Alpinerocket, Do we need to schedule one of those " Sensitivity training" sessions to get you back in line with the program here or what? I think we can plan on at least a few hundred compartmentalized reasons to discuss this issue and ill bring about 48 of them when i show up.... :P

...trying to think of any paved road I'd LESS want to drive in the winter than the 7 miles from Red Mountain Pass down to Ouray....and failing... ...turning to 4 x 4 trails.....still failing...okay, Nellie Creek might be worse...Lost Creek up past Marble might be worse...still... Find some friends north of Ouray, Ridgeway or Montrose...getting in from that side's a piece of cake by comparison...
