Mr. Geo and others.
An update on the gallery opening.
It will be thursday night as to not conflict with all the other evening festivities. It is a Wine and Cheese deal, so bring your pattigucci.

Skol Gallery is on Main; it's address is 812.
There will four other artists including two sculpturists, a photographer and anothe rpainter, all from Colorado. I know at least two of us are climbers...not sure on the others.

Hope to see you there.

Jer Collins

elvislegs and tracyroach --

the first line i was talking about is called "out of the mainstream", and it goes WI 4-5 for 1200 feet. it can only really be done if the snow cover is thin, otherwise the avalanche danger there is absolutely insane. we'll go up there and take a look one day.

the other climb is "bird brain boulevard", which goes WI 5-6 for 1000 feet. i did both of them two years ago, and i have t tell you, bird brain is a blast! in places it's so narrow you can't spread your arms without touching rock. speaking of which, it's mostly rock pro (pitons, to be exact) and fairly run out, with 20-30 feet between many placements.

if you're game, let's get on them.

Just so I'm clear... What day is everyone arriving? Thursday? Wednesday night?

Car pooling would probablybe a good idea. Who's got reliable autos that can hold gear and carry people? I'd be happy to drive, but my Jeep will only hold two (me and one other) and gear. Not real warm, either.

So... All you SUV driving soccer mom types: Sound off.

I'm flying in. Thursday afternoon most likely. Haven't booked my ticket yet though. I'll post up if/when I know I need a lift. Otherwise I'll have to rely on my boyish charm and striking euro trash looks to hitch me a ride. Which is to say... I'll have to walk.

Hey, flame,

just so there's no confusion, howsabout you take care of the *cough* dirtbag list and I'll take care of the condo list! I had to do a double take when I saw yours!

Don't you know that confusion is my intent??Or maybe I'm just being nonconformist, I haven't decided yet.
Are you sure you didn't have to double take because those eyes have seen so much?

So who's up for mixed stuff?

I'm up for it any day but Sunday. I have a clinic. I'm ariving on Friday. I'm going to try to talk the girls into going up on Thurs. When is the buffet? Thurs or Fri?

Reno. . .I'd offer you a ride but I'll have a truck full of hot climber babes. I know you don't want any part of that. The only room is on their laps. Sorry.

Is everyone going to try to meet somewhere. Would like to see you guys and meet some others.

Link to event schedule:

I'll cook lasagna on Thursday night, Saturday night, or Sunday night, whichever works best for the group (there's an "All You-Can-Eat" beer and food thing on Friday for $10.)
