Better make your Lasagna on Thursday. Saturday night is the Fundraiser dinner for the Ouray volunteer fire department, This event makes up a HUGE part of their operating budget and it would be VERY BAD form for RC.comer's to skip it. Oh did I mention FREE BEER??? josh

In reply to: dark. very dark. with hair. And skibabeage asked, "Geo, Are you talking about the BEER or the WOMEN?" Beer, women, sheep, goats, sheep-like dog things, sport climbers, or sasquatches -- it's all good for Geo.

In reply to: Hey, reno, I say pick your night for the lasagne feast, and what a superb idea! Let us all know what we need to provide and we'll make it so! The food is on me, but it's a B.Y.O.W. dinner (Bring Yer Own Wine.)
In reply to: There are a bazillion things going on each night (including the awards ceremony on Sunday night) so it's really a crap shoot which night you choose. But Friday night is definitely a good eve to keep free! Thursday night is lasagna night. Be there, or don't.
In reply to: And while I have everyone's attention, Geo and I (and the rest of us who'd like to catch some z's) are setting up the GERIATRIC WARD at the condo. In essence, that means that the bedroom FURTHEST away from the downstairs rucus will be immediately and heretofore commandeered for those folks in the crowd who'd like to rest between events and be climbing something other than the walls! Probably a capital idea. After all, we all know what happened the last time you tried to run with the young pups... (Lumpy.)

In reply to: where the hell is shorty? quick -- someone call the waaaaaaaambulance! FYI ice-tool breath, my plans for the Ouray weekend are Masters ski race training at Copper Mountain. During the winter months I choose to work with gravity rather than fight it. But have you ever tried to hide a pair of Depends (TM) under a GS speed suit? It's a real feat of engineering.

In reply to: yeah, mr. "masters" skier ... and it must be a royal b*tch to ski with an IV pole and an enema bag! No, no, no. You've got it all wrong. The IV uses Red Bull from a Camelback and the Depends "eliminate" the need for the enema bag. Besides, if I really needed an enema bag, there generally are plenty of snowboarders around. Du-uu-uu-ude.

And since we're on the subject, a couple of ski racer's (aka slat rats) favorite rider's jokes: (Q) What's the difference between a vacuum cleaner and a snowboard? (A) How the dirtbag is attached. (Q) How do snowboarders great each other? (A) Sorry, dude. Later, dude. I'm off to the half pipe to stick some sick moves.

"drag you up something"? hell, for the right single malt i'd do the delaurier brothers while scott schmidt watched!* Well, its good to see that a well expereinced and open man like yourself is willing to help them come out. I call Rob and Scot and arrange for the film crew. Ill follow you on the climbing, seems thats the safest place to be. PM me and i ll figure out if i will dirt bag it over night from boulder to Ouray and hook up for an early morning jaunt. Ill bring the 18 yoMcCallan, its legal, and delicious.
