Hey Redpoint, if youre flying in see what fares to Granjunction versus Denver run, they may have a commuter link, or some no name bargin brand that flies into the area. Dont worry, they fly the same planes as the bigger carriers, they just dont waste money on touchy feel good commercials and propoganda...
:D

Thanks Sandbag...

I've been checking on flights to Durango, Montrose, and Gunnison, but I haven't check out Grand Junction. Nothin' real cheap so I may have to drive.

As of roughly September of 2002, you could fly from either Denver or Phoenix to Montrose, Gunnison, or Telluride via puddlejumper. The rates I was given were for airline employees, usually 25 or 50 percent of normal, and ran about $30. There were two or three airlines to choose from. Most reservation call center employees have an open link to Sabre and can tell you all the options when you call, regardless of whether you book a flight or not. I don't think you get the same information online, because each airline only lists their own flights. Note that you are more dependant on weather for these flights than with larger airlines, airports, and aircraft.

Well that settles it then, I guess im completely safe! :D Since Skibby is no longer searching for a stud(Guess we missed our chance Geo...) we'll have to really whooop it up and let it all hang out at the festival so she doesnt feel left out. Bring your microsopes please! ;)
Beer is doing well, ill know in about a week or so what the final disposition is, thus far its smelling pretty darn good, keep the vibes alive!

No wonder all I get is sad, sympathetic looks at RC.com gatherings! It's murder to aged feistiness and getting looks of "I wanna spank your bottom and make you whimper 'cause I'm the stud you've been looking for!"

Yeah, like you're really complaining! We all know better, Skibbs.

In reply to:
There goes that fine reputation of "sexy senior citizen" I was trying to build so I could snag me a boy toy!

I'm reminded of Steve Martin in the movie "Roxanne." Something about how older women are better because they "know what they're doing."

Side note: Bought my ice climbing boots today... and a cool Lowe Alpine jacket. Got a heck of a deal, and couldn't pass up the chance to spend money on climbing gear.

33 Days and counting till the RC.com crew wreaks havoc in Ouray. Hide the women and children!

Well, maybe just the children.

no need to worry I will be going comando for the comp as long as MS is included with the drugs

I'm not sure why you want me to bring Magnesium Sulfate to the gathering... you suffer from pre-eclampsia or something? :?: :?:

But whatever floats your boat, I suppose.

Maybe he meant "man stuff" aka the little blue pill, please dont, the last thing i want to experience is a sausage fest with guys hopped up on sildenafil citrate....
if anything, bring a defibrilator in case Skibby gets out of control and hurts someone ;)
And what do we need to bring for the Lasagna Reno? im game to chip in too, will it go well with a high alcohol content beer that you can slice with a knife?
oh yeah, bring some narcan, maybe it works on hangovers, we can do a double blind study on it..... :D

aww, come on skibby. having children doesnt kill your sex appeal, especially when you've got a cute climber for a kiddo. (you can always just lie and say that i'm cute ... this is the internet, they'll never know otherwise, heehee) .. besides, you could always work the MILF angle.

You don't NEED to bring anything. I've got the lasagna covered.

However, if you want anything to accompany the lasagna... like a salad, perhaps, or maybe some wine... then Y.O.Y.O. (You're On Your Own.)

In reply to:

Narcan does nothing for a hangover. Now a bag of LR 1/2NS with 100 mg Thiamine, 2g Mag, 50mg CaCl, and 12.5g Dextrose... whole different story.

And Amber's son is a climbing machine... that kid can send!

(beams with pride) thanks, reno!

yeah, i was way stoked when he suggested doing a project related to the composition of rocks and their relative density/hardness for his science fair project. yay, a burly climber kid who's interested in geology. .. what clymbr_mom wouldnt be proud!?!?

and before i get a rep for raising a dorky kid, he also enjoys soccer, dirtbiking, snowboarding, and playing video games.

ps, he wont be attending the ouray festivities. i'd probably have a nervous breakdown trying to find explanations for everyone's antics, haha.

Yeah, the defib is probably a good idea. Though I'm planning on leaving the whip and vinyl at home, should things get out of hand there ought to be PLENTY of sharp pointie things, ropes, and harnesses to invoke a little discipline among the ranks.......

dammit, here we go again. ..

btw, kcrag lives around the block from me. with some assistance, we could probably sneak into her house, tie her up with webbing and throw her in the back of someone's truck.

Yeah...I don't know that I am smart but I am most assuredly no paramedic. I can give high quality O2 and associate dex with midnight runners.

I fell down a flight of stairs this weekend and still dragged my but outside to climb ice 2 hours later! If I take an axe to the head, I'll still climb ice. I'm now an official ice ho. You guys can thank Geo for that. He got me on some ice up at Linclon Falls yesterday and let's just say that before yesterday I was looking forward to the festival of frozen, drunken men in Ouray. But now it's all about the ice. You bet I'll be there.

skibby or reno...

what can i bring for this pitch in dinner? what's the lowdown? can i bring a couple bottles of wine from the local (don't laugh) indiana vineyard. it's good stuff. any cigar buffs in the bunch?

i'm jealous you guys are out climbing now...i have to be content with dry tooling in the shed. it's just not the same.
