Redpointron: If you want to bring some wine or beer, that'd be fantastic. The lasagna will be of two types: One meat based, with italian sausage and ground beef, and the other will be vegetarian, with onion, olives, artichokes, mushrooms, green peppers, etc. Both will have a tomato based sauce. You could also consider bringing something for breakfast meals instead. Bagels, fruit, etc. We always seem to forget that stuff. If you can come across a six-pack of Mad Anthony Brewing Company's Harry Baal's Irish Stout, I'd be ever in your debt. And see what you can do about IU Basketball, eh? Those dang Hoosiers are going to be the death of me yet...

Hey Reno...I can do...the breakfast, wine, etc. I don't know about the Hoosiers though. I went to the game Saturday and I'm giving up a couple of games to come to Colorado. Are you a Hoosier fan? Wait till next year -- # 1 recruiting class in the country. Is Mad Anthony's an Indiana Micro Brew? If I can get it, I can fit plenty in the back of my truck. Alright Geo -- I will choose my words a little more carefully next time. That was some funny stuff. r.r.

Are you a Hoosier fan? Wait till next year -- # 1 recruiting class in the country. I've been a Hoosier fan since watching Benson, May, et al win it all and go undefeated. And if you're giving up tickets to games to come to Ouray, that's dedication! You're a better man than I! Next Year? I've been saying that since we lost to Duke in '91. Though playing Maryland was a total shock, it was also a bit of a fluke. And while the F4 was in Atlanta that year, and I was living in Atlanta, I couldn't attend the game, as I had to work (had called out sick for the Semi-final against Oklahoma, and couldn't call out again without a doctor's excuse.) Next Year... Kinda like the Cubs. We're gonna get killed by Kentucky this Saturday. Again. *sigh*
In reply to: Is Mad Anthony's an Indiana Micro Brew? If I can get it, I can fit plenty in the back of my truck. Yep... click here: http://www.madbrew.com/ontap.html Not sure if they sell retail or only supply to resturaunts. Don't worry too much, though. We've got some killer brews here in Colorado.

Back to ice climbing: Hey Tracy, Geo, Hows the ice doing up at the Traffic jam, I mean Lincoln Falls? The Beer is coming along nicely, and will be racked in a week or so, then tested for lethality, and overall quality. Im sure they have a grocery store up that a way so ill put together some stuff for a dessert thingy, any food allergies should be expressed so i dont get sued by your grieving families.

It was a vertical icy battlefield up there. Lots of traffic. As far as the ice, since it was my first time out I have no expert opinion to offer. But I thought it was pretty damn good. Lots of dinner plates on the last route we did though. Not sure if it was my gumby technique or the ice. An awesome day indeed!

Since lots of people have been asking "What can I bring?" I've taken it upon myself to create a list of stuff. Y'all sign up for what you will bring (the "??"s are where we need people to sign up!), and let's hope this is enough... Opinions/Feedback welcome. Thursday Dinner -- Lasagna: Reno -- Salad: Skibby (I'm volunteering her to make a kicking Italian Salad... she's Italian, after all!) -- Wine: Redpointron - 2 bottles red, Amber_chk - 1 bottle red, alpinerocket - 2 bottles white, and ?? (I'm ballparking this at 16 people, two glasses each = 32 glasses. At 4 glasses/bottle, we need 8 bottles total, perhaps 4 red and 4 white?) Friday Breakfast -- Bagels: ?? -- Fresh Fruit: ?? -- Coffee: Geo Friday Lunch: Y.O.Y.O. (You're on your own!) Friday Dinner: Scheduled dinner (Trango and Mountain Gear sponsor an all you can eat and drink fundraiser. Food from local restaurants and beer from New Belgium Brewery. Cost is $10 dollars per person.) Either that, or Y.O.Y.O. Saturday Breakfast -- Pancakes: Geo (I'm volunteering him, cause he makes the best damn pancakes anywhere, ever!) -- Eggs: Tracyroach :P -- Coffee: Geo -- Orange Juice: ?? Saturday Lunch: Y.O.Y.O. Saturday Dinner: Scheduled dinner (Ouray Volunteer Firedepartment Fundraiser Dinner and Live Auction Fashion Show) or WHAT ELSE???? Sunday Breakfast: -- ??????????????? Sunday Lunch: Y.O.Y.O. Sunday Dinner: Skibby's Surprise (Be afraid... be very afraid.) Beer: Sandbag (if his home brew turns out to be of acceptable quality,) Reno, Redpointron, ??????

oh, yeah ... i almost forgot: the guy called from the warehouse. he said they're struggling to fill our order for AA batteries, but will most likely be able to find the second truckload in time. also, with the 55-gallon drum of astroglide, do we want the [i:8755aa76af]regular[/i:8755aa76af] or the [i:8755aa76af]extra long [/i:8755aa76af]"get-to-those-hard-to-reach-places" applicators? let me know ... he's calling back in 20 minutes (he's checking on the 4 dozen cases of extra large, extra wide condoms and the crunchy m&m's).

In reply to: "You want breakfast?" "I want the cakes!" "You want the Cakes? You can't HANDLE THE CAKES!" GEO: You want breakfast? Sharpie: I think I'm entitled to it. GEO: You want breakfast? Sharpie: I want the pancakes! GEO: You can't handle the pancakes! Son, we live in a world that has griddles. And those griddles have to be controlled and managed by men with baldheads and peculiar moustaches. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Flamer, Tracyroach? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for panckaes and you curse the men who make them. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that waking everyone to the sound of grinding coffee beans at 4AM, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, feeds people...You don't want the cakes. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at rc.com gatherings, you want me on that griddle. You need me on that griddle. We use words like waffle, French toast, Streusel...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent cooking something. You use'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very brakfast I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a spatula and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to! Sharpie: DID YOU MAKE THE PANCAKES? GEO: I did the job you sent me to do. Sharpie: DID YOU MAKE THE PANCAKES? GEO: YOU”RE GODDAMN RIGHT I MADE THE PANCAKES!!!

geo... I would have to agree that you've set the bar high, way high. That was the most amazing post i've read in my first week and the second funniest thing you've posted today (the dry tool thing still takes the blue ribbon). I will bring 2 bottles of red. Dry. r.r.
