You had to push the buttons... didn't you?

How bout this -- tonight you set 3 alarm clocks. One at 1 a.m., one at 3 a.m. and one at 5 a.m. When the first one goes off -- get up, go outside in the cold run a lap or two around the house and try to get back to sleep. Until the next one goes off. Maybe try giving mouth to mouth to a neigbor next time. At five, put on your coat, maybe your dana backback (filled with trad gear) and hose down the grill. Tell me how you feel the next day. And that's an uneventful night.

r.r.

Don't need the alarms...got a four month old and a three year old doing it for me...haven't had more than four continuous hours sleep in more than three years! Well, maybe except for the night I spent in Leadville at Geo's, I may have squeaked 4.5 hrs outta that one, but I've got to say, it was a refreshing change of pace to be beat over the head with a pillow at 3am by a woman other than my wife…

And yep, had to push the button…just to see you guys squirm…

Really….I’m joking though, got nothin’ but R-E-S-P-E-C-T for you fools…

Hey Josh, when you gonna let me bring my boy down to the station for the Grand Tour?

I beat you up too? You must have been baaaaaaaaing at me!
I hope all you ice fest attendees realize that this time I won't be carring pillow but axes. hehehe But lucky for you, I'm not sleeping with any of you this time.

That came out kind of funny. Sleeping as in zzzzzzzzzzzzz. hehe

That's what you say now, but just wait till you get a sample of the manliness of Flamer, Geo, Kelly, Alpine, and the rest of us Manly Men.

You'll be powerless to resist.

Time for a quick history review. Last time we mixed Ms. Roach, an overnight gathering, and alcohol, the neighbor's lawn was "decorated" with partially digested soy jerky nuggets soaked in multiple forms of ethanol. Rumor has it that Geo spent a good portion of the summer attempting to repair damage to both the lawn and neighborhood relations.

Caveat emptor -- upon returning from her "driving the porcelain bus" episode next door, Tracy proceeding to beat the living bejesus out of those whose sleeping bags were nearby. My nose barely withstood the multiple pillow floggings; it would not be a pretty sight next month if she wails on anybody with ice tools.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Well, the good thing is Shes sleeping in a location far far away from us, the next thing is that this facility has 3 commodes so if she ties up one, we dont have to use the pee bottles, And Finally, who knows, the 3 dimensional technicolor yarf fountain may get us rave reviews from the winter outdoor decorating comittee or something :D

Jim:

You're quite right about the thread and scaring off of the newbies, but that's how we seperate the men from the sheep-dog things...

Looking forward to meeting you and the others as well. If you're going to be in Ouray on Thursday, we're having a lasagna feast. You're welcome to drop in for a bite and a brew, but we ask that you bring something to contribute to the feast... garlic bread, wine, appetizers, etc.

See you then!

you needn't be scared. but the truth is, once you've run with the wild bunch, everything else will seem like just another boring tea and cookie party.

why, heck ... even the [i:b3bdb0017f]secret and mystical high initiation [/i:b3bdb0017f]is a breeze once you get past the [i:b3bdb0017f]holy sandy banana [/i:b3bdb0017f]portion of the ceremony (breathe normally; relax yer butt-cheeks). also, remember to avert your eyes when we trot out the sacred sheep; at the time we couldn't afford a top-of-the-line model, so we had to go used. she came highly recommended, but nevertheless she tends to be a bit skittish and loses control of her bladder when she's nervous.

we look forward to meeting you. oh, and i might suggest you not eat any solids in the 12 hours prior to the ceremony. clear liquids, such as chicken broth, are okay.

We may very well be able to hijack the entire OUray Ice festival if we keep this up. We'll need to make a name for it, then we shall own the Ice festival. Keep up the good work. Thanks Geo, i just spit mountain dew on my new monitor....youll pay for that one mister....

See my previous post re: KCrag Driveway Ice Park 2004 -- The Inaugural Season.

You're just NOW talking about hijacking the festival? Good god, man. It's already underway. The pipes and cooling system parts are enroute via UPS. Geo's been hitting the flight sims to refresh his skills at flying a Sky Crane. I've made reservations at the Hilton for all the pro climbers (Skibby, I gave them your Visa card number... you don't mind, do you?)

What we need: A perimeter security force.

I've rounded up every homeless... er, Domestically Challenged.. person in Denver that was holding a sign saying "Homeless Vet, Please Help." (How, exactly, an animal doctor is going to help is beyond me. And don't those animal doctors make decent money? If so, why don't they have a house? Or at least a studio apartment. Anyway... )

My plan is to give them all guns and let them stand guard at the gates. Still leaves us short on the roving security squad, though. I know a few folks who currently work mall security, and will be needing a new job after the holidays, so that might work.

If you wish to do your part to help the hijacking of the Ice Fest run smoothly, I suggest you motor on down to your local gun shop, purchase every semi-automatic weapon you can find, a few conversion kits so we can make them full-auto, and bring them by the compound. Talk to Guido, the Chief of Security.

And pick up some more ammo.

That is all for now. More to follow.

PERFECT!!!!!!!!
I have a copy of the Modified Munitions handbook, and used to be a volunteer NRA(no, not a member, just a volunteer) pistol instructor and IPSC and silohuette shooter. We'll have them domestically challenged Vets shaped up in no time.
Looks like the beer is about done, primary fermentation seems to be slowing, ill plan on racking and tasting or kegging this week.
If it turns out ok, ill save some(burp) for the Seftival

Ok, this is getting seriously weird....even by my standards.....
I'm going to go to the ice fest, I'm going to climb, drink beer, chase women(well if there are any, present company excluded), and raise money for a sleepy little town in the mountains.
That's pretty much it....
