Good thing we are pay-per-view or the FCC would tear us a new sphincter.
Any luck in the drywall anchors for the intra-condo-drytooling championships?

OK,

This is my first post in this thread. I was keeping quiet becasue I did not know if I was going to be in CO during his time. For those of you who have not heard, I have a job! GASP!

But luckily, I won't be traveling in Asia, and I will be able to attend the fest. I will be meeting up with a friend from Minnesota, and we have a place to stay. I definitley plan on dropping in hanging with the CO crowd. I'll see you there!

Fran

francesca --

glad to hear you make the commitment! and, about the job ... it's okay, you don't have to be embarassed; there are 12-step programs to help you out. besides, a job carries with it connotations of responsibility; and, after all, we're going to need a) the adult leadership, and b) the financial means by which to remunerate the owner of the condo for the damages.

In reply to:
Uh, Geo, did Fran ever go through the initiation, or are we going to waive it for her? She IS, after all, a rider/boarder/soon to be three-pinner......

While I'm not part of the Geritol Popping, Depends Wearing, Social-Security Earning Tribal Council Elders like Geo and Skibby (hey Skibbs? Is it true you have a rear-view mirror on your ice axe so you can see all the people coming up to pass ya? I've seen Geo's crampon-enhanced wheelchair, so I know that's not a rumor!), I vote that Fran gets a grandfather waiver.

I'll let her snowboard riding status slide (I'm a "Two Planker" myself,) but that chick can crank on some serious rock. She's far better than I am, and I can not, in good faith, require the initiation ceremony performed on anyone that can kick my butt all the way up Redgarden Wall.

Ice Festival Hijacking Update:

The water pipes have been installed at kcrag's, and once this warm front moves out of the Denver metro area, we shall begin to form up the ice. Geo, how ya doing on the flight sims with the Sky Crane? I've got next weekend off, so you and I can go get the condo from Ouray and bring it back to Denver. I'll bring the thermos of coffee and a recent Playboy. You bring the flight maps and the GPS.

That is all.

ah, playboy ...

why, i remember the days when the centerfolds were much older than i and i'd ask myself, "how can i get [i:b77a34f1e6]me[/i:b77a34f1e6] some of that?"

these days i look at centerfolds who could be my [i:b77a34f1e6]daughter[/i:b77a34f1e6] and ask, "i wonder if her [i:b77a34f1e6]parents[/i:b77a34f1e6] know she's doing that?"

Jesus, talk about going limp like wet spaghetti on the cold refrigerator floor...dude, youre railroading this event into the lame zone. Buck up Marine, you got work to do! Theres points to sharpen, picks to grind, tips to lubricate and thats all before we even get the crampons and ice tools fired up. The beer is racked. taste test results shortly.

Hokey, dokey. I just got back from the doctor because I've torn a bunch of ligaments in the middle finger of my right hand (don't ask, but no I wasn't Greek wrestling with myself! ).

Sooooo, I'm still going to the festival, but I've got a 4-5 week recuperation with my finger in a splint. It's great fun showing it to people, BTW. Appointment with the hand doctor on the 9th, but climbing anything other than into another glass of wine might be out of the question.

s---.

Pity party starts below.

I surely hope this wasnt due to Geos pre festival check up and DRE. He does fit the the age profile, but i think its safe to say hes in tip top shape.
Next time be more careful when probing.

Sorry about the finger, Skibby BUT if you like it red and dry...I got your back (but NOT like Geo seemingly does, though -- fecal impaction, that's nasty).

I'm crossing MY fingers yours is okay on the 9th.

Did you get my check yet?

Marines or no, you want yer tips lubricated, that's a do-it-yossef kinda job.

Any one that needs lube to "do-it-yossef" Is an amateur!!!
Or they don't have the social "skills" to recruit partners....
Beside's wouldn't you need to be extremly flexible to lube your own tip??

I'd be happy to store the beer at my place. It'll be safe here.

I promise. :)

she's pretty out there and from what i've read in this thread the past couple of weeks, i don't know that she would fit in with this conservative crowd.

True enough, Ron.

Our idea of a wild night involves Scrabble, a mug of hot chocolate, and PBS. One night in Estes, we really let our hair down (well, except Geo,) and we played Anne Murray on the turntable while drinking cappucino. It was a wild night, and we've got pictures to prove it.

We're probably far too tame for the Missus Redpointron.
