Im not working for Arno or anything, but there is a video with Arno and Kirk Brodie climbing a 5.12 trad route available on his web site. I saw it at a book signing and had to buy a copy.

I like to say to all my friends that I'd rather watch Arno climb than anyone else, cause I really learn from his example.

Anyway, it's a great trad video, and they do some philosophizing about climbing too, so you not only get to see Arno and Kirk climb, you hear their thoughts on climbing as well.

Shameless plug over.

i should like to add that video to my library - do let me know where you got that.

i have had classes with arno and have been able to watch him climb
and he is absolutely, without any doubt, one of my favorite people to
observe. he practices what he preaches and i find myself
drawn to those who can teach me by saying little or nothing, just by
my observations.

i used to watch everybody, everywhere and now, i don't watch as much. if i feel i'm going to have any kind of a negative response, i don't involve myself unless, of course, danger arises...........but to watch for the purpose of learning from - arno is one of my most favorites on the planet to watch.

shameless plugs? awwwwww - i'm the sherry o'terry for arno for sure.

it's a joy to watch him and learning from him, whether it be in person, through a video, or in his book - it is an honor.

Lou_dale,

You hit the nail on the head about Arno.

It is available on his web site. like shank said.

I wish more people would realize that Arno is about efficient climbing, smart climbing and safe climbing.

He is a superb role model for more than climbing as well.

thanks to you both.......i seem to recall it now that i have heard
the name.

and yes, the knowledge and wisdom he has gathered over the
years has changed me, my husband, our lives in general - and it's
just sort of the topping on the cake to improve our climbing as well.

learning from arno - it's like breathing in the freshest air and then feeling it reach
every part of every organ - it has renewed
us both.

thanks again for the info.
