In reply to: i am sport climber, i am sport climber Don't sweat it... nobody's perfect.
In reply to: Master Geo is the H.M.F.I.C and he earned the right th old fashioned way, he raped and pillaged and scammed his way to the top of the RC.Com dregs to make that happen. I just suggeasted you come back to make the final puscht for the OUray Ice festival most proximate to the next few days more fruitful..... Im racking the 2nd beer, then the third on sun, then kegs and off to ouray. From your typos and spelling, one might think you've been sampling your own wares a bit much. :)
In reply to: that, my friend, is the Head MF In Charge. Monkey Face?
In reply to: alls i know is i'm sleeping on my back with a ball-gag in my mouth! Dude.... if you weren't such a good friend, I could have LOTS of fun with this comment.
In reply to: ... as the time approaches i am growing increasingly scared. i'm not so sure about drinking anything but water or setting down my axes for fear i might be buggered by a mountain man OR left alone with skibby in the back seat You should be scared. You should be VERY scared. In fact, you should be terrified. But you said you wanted to hang out with the Colorado Contingent. You claimed to be tough enough to hang. You said you could run with the Big Dogs. Well, it's time to Woof or get off the pot. It is well known amongst climbers that this Mixture of Mountain Mad Men and Maidens can make a group of Hell's Angels look like the crowd at a Placido Domingo concert doped up on Valium. After they made us, they not only broke the mold, but they beat the hell out of the mold-maker, asking "What were you thinking?"
In reply to: i'm pretty sure i won't be gettin' buggered! All will be served in time by our token female. Take a number and stand in line, bro.

In reply to: [ppublic address system] now serving ... number four [/public address system] *geo looks at his number and thinks to himself, " damn ... 127!"* At that point, you might as well go climbing. The time will pass faster than you might think (*math: at 15 seconds each, 123 people... that's about 45 minutes.*) Time enough to cruise up a 90 foot WI4 pitch, knock back a double scotch on the rocks, and get a nap.

I take umbrage at those words good sir and challenge you to pistols at dawn...well maybe ice tools, or snowballs will suffice too.....

Since the food, drink and sex toys are all already covered in the "to bring" checklist....And since Reno has guilted me in to bringing something besides an extra set of picks, my good looks and a winning demeanor...
In reply to: Reminder: everyone should bring something to contribute, to keep things fair. I talked to Christian Beckwith, the Editor of Alpinist, yesterday and he is going to hook me up with T-shirts at their cost ($5 each) and some other Alpinist schwag (not that we won’t be getting enough of that from all of the manufacturers over the weekend), but hey, It’s cool stuff, and everyone can rest easy knowing that I too am shelling out some dinero for the cause…

I'll see what I can do... Current forcast IS calling for mostly sunny and 40s until Sunday (at which point I've ordered snow for Sunday through Monday to ensure good skiing at Telluride)

anybody need an Ice Park membership for this weekend? good discounts for hotels and restaurants around town. I already have one but can't make it back for the rest of the season, and just thought some poor dirtbagger (like me) could benefit from splitting it with me. PM/ email for details. it was so cold out there last weekend!! but nobody ever said you needed to feel your fingertips to belay right?

The question is will I get service in Ouray...T-Mobile.... Do we even want to think about a web cam feed? we could get RC.COM/Ouray to Sponsor it, (AHEM!!!!!) and then show some scenic shots and generate tourism and good publicity...... OK OK, so its going to be a NC-17 showing, and possible get us into legal snafus with PETA, and the ACLU, and who knows what ever other organizations that will be offended, but dammit, it'll be fun. Im racking the next to last beer tonight, taste testing and then kegging. Keep fingers crossed, and do a little beer dance for any of you beer snobs out there in the condo, and hangers-on also.....
